About Josh

Josh sparked an interest in photography as a young child when photographing his older siblings high school sports games. As he became a teenager, his interest in photography quickly developed into his passion. He upgraded his camera and began focusing on sports photography, beginning with taking photographs of his oldest brother when he was playing college baseball for Loyola Marymount University.  In high school, Josh enrolled in 4 years of photography and 2 years of graphic design. Josh shot photos of the water polo team all four years amongst being a varsity athlete.  During high school, Josh realized he had a real niche for photography and he could make a career for himself.

After graduating Agoura High School in 2010, Josh continued his studies to become a photographer at California State University, Channel Islands, where he became the lead photographer and graphic designer for the Recreation Center and the Channel Islands Boating Center. In May 2014, Josh received his Bachelors degree for Studio Art with a certificate in Digital Media Art. Upon graduation, he traveled the country by car, photographing historic monuments along the way.  Josh currently is a freelance photographer working for both Getty Images as well as having his own clientele. His images have been published in the Los Angeles Times and Sports Illustrated along with online articles for ESPN, Bleacher Report, Sports Illustrated, and FoxSports.
